Layout Description
Upgrading to Town Hall level 6 signifies a major step towards mid-level gameplay in Clash of Clans. This level enhances both your village's defensive complexity and your army's strategic diversity, with a strong focus on aerial combat and battlefield control. The upgrade costs 750,000 Gold and takes four days to complete. The Town Hall itself gains small lookout towers on its roof and vines begin to grow on its sides, reflecting its growing strength.
Key Unlocks: New Defenses and Infrastructure
Town Hall 6 allows you to construct more buildings and add a unique new defensive structure to your layout.
- Air Sweeper (x1): A crucial new defense that does no damage but pushes back groups of air troops, significantly slowing down aerial assaults like mass Balloon attacks. Its placement and orientation are key to an effective air defense. It costs 500,000 Gold and takes one day to build.
- Additional Gold Mine & Elixir Collector (x1 each): Further boosts your resource production capabilities to help afford the increasingly expensive upgrades.
- Additional Mortar (x1): Adding a second Mortar drastically increases your base's splash damage potential against ground armies.
- Additional Wizard Tower (x1): A second Wizard Tower provides another high-damage splash defense, vital for protecting your core against hordes of troops.
- Additional Walls (x25): These extra segments are critical for enclosing your new defensive structures and creating a more formidable and complex base design.
New Offensive Capabilities: Healing and Control
Your attacking strategies become far more sophisticated at TH6 with the introduction of healing.
- Healer: Unlocked by upgrading the Barracks to level 8, the Healer is a flying unit that does not attack. Instead, she heals your ground troops, dramatically increasing their survivability. She is the cornerstone of powerful strategies like "Giant-Healer."
- Heal Spell: Unlocked by upgrading the Spell Factory to level 2, this spell creates a ring of healing energy on the battlefield. Any of your troops within the ring will regenerate health, making it perfect for sustaining pushes through heavy defensive fire.

To be fully prepared for Town Hall 7, you should complete all the available upgrades at TH6.

Strategic Implications
Town Hall 6 is a transformative level. The introduction of the Healer and Heal Spell makes powerful ground armies, particularly those led by Giants, much more resilient and a dominant attack strategy at this level. You must learn how to protect your Healers from Air Defenses while they support your ground troops.
Defensively, the second Mortar and second Wizard Tower allow for a much stronger core defense against ground attacks. The new Air Sweeper forces you to think about defensive strategy in a new way, planning its directional push to counter common air attacks. Mastering the art of healing your troops on offense and designing a base that can withstand these newly powerful armies is the key to success at Town Hall 6.
